The unemployment rate in Kazakhstan edged down to 4.6% in Q4 2024, from 4.7% in the same period of the previous year. The number of unemployed individuals increased by 2.4 thousand from a year earlier to 448.2 thousand, while the number of employed rose by 154.8 thousand to reach 9.20 million. Additionally, the jobless rate for youth aged 15-34 ticked down to 3.3% from 3.4% a year earlier. Meanwhile, the total labor force grew by 157.1 thousand to 9.65 million.
