Vietnam Tasso Di Inflazione

The annual inflation rate in Vietnam accelerated to 3.13% in March 2025 from February’s three-month low of 2.91%. The upturn was driven by higher inflation in food and beverage services (3.83% vs 3.31% in February), drinks and tobacco (2.05% vs 2.02%), culture, entertainment, and tourism (2.16% vs 1.86%). Meanwhile, textiles, footwear, and hats moderated (1.16% vs 2.02%). By contrast, prices fell further for transport (-4.07% vs -2.74%), postal and communication services (-0.52% vs -0.55%), and education (-0.25% vs -0.56%). Meanwhile, core inflation, which excludes volatile items, accelerated to a 16-month high of 3.10% from 2.87% in February. On a monthly basis, consumer prices edged down 0.03%, the first monthly decline in a year, reversing a 0.34% rise in the previous month.
