Romania's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate edged up to 5.6% in February 2025 from January’s seven-month low of 5.5%. The number of unemployed persons rose by 6 thousand from a month earlier to 456.8 thousand. The jobless rate for men inched down to 5.7% from 5.8% in the previous month, while that for women rose to 5.3% from 5.1%. In February 2024, the jobless rate was lower at 5.2%.
