Paraguay's annual inflation rate rose to 4.3% in February 2025, accelerating from 3.8 in the previous month, and marking the highest since August 2024. Key contributors to the increase included price increases in housing and utilities (2.16% vs 2.08% in January), food and non-alcoholic beverages (4.90% vs 4.37%), recreation and culture (5.96% vs. 5.45%), education (4.70% vs 3.88%), restaurants and hotels (5.26% vs 4.82%), furniture (3.15% vs 2.99%), and transportation (5.49% vs 3.60%). However, costs rose at a slower pace in health (2.65% vs 3.05%), while they remained steady for clothing and footwear (2.26% vs 2.27%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices in Paraguay rose 0.4% in February, after a 1% increase in the previous month.
