The Central Bank of Armenia kept its benchmark interest rate unchanged at 6.75% during its April 2025 meeting, maintaining the stance from its previous meeting and marking the second pause in the easing cycle that began in June 2023. Policymakers also left the deposit rate at 5.25% and the lending rate at 8.25%. The decision followed a slight easing in headline inflation to 3.2% in April from an almost two-year high of 3.3% in March, though still below the central bank’s 4% target. Meanwhile, Armenia’s GDP growth slowed to 3.7% in Q4 from 6.1% in Q3, marking the weakest expansion since the third quarter of 2021.
