The unemployment rate in Latvia increased to 6.9% in Q4 2024, up from 6.7% in the previous quarter and 6.8% in the corresponding period of 2023. There were 63.8 thousand unemployed persons aged 15-74, 0.8 thousand more compared to the previous quarter. Meanwhile, 31.3% or 429.3 thousand from the population aged 15-74 were inactive. As for the youth unemployment rate, it rose to 13.6% from 13% in the previous quarter.
