Giappone Machine Tool Orders

Japan's machine tool orders rose by 3.5% year-on-year to JPY 118,125 million in February 2025, falling short of market expectations and slowing from January’s 4.7% growth. Still, this marked the fifth consecutive month of expansion, driven by a 3.4% rise in foreign demand to JPY 84,417 million and a 3.9% increase in domestic orders to JPY 33,798 million. On a monthly basis, orders grew by 1.8% in February, rebounding from an 18.8% slump in the previous month.
