Canada Monthly GDP MoM

The Canadian GDP was essentially unchanged from the previous month in February of 2025, with increases in manufacturing and finance and insurance sectors offset by decreases in the real estate and rental and leasing sector, the oil and gas extraction subsector and the retail trade sector, according to a flash estimate. In turn, the GDP expanded by 0.4% from the previous month in January, extending momentum in December and better than flash estimates of 0.3%.. Goods-producing industries rose by 1.1% amid gains in utilities and mining, quarrying, and oil and gas extraction, while the services-producing industries edged up by 0.1%, with retail trade being the largest detractor to growth.
