Serbia’s economy rose by 3.3% over a year ago in the fourth quarter of 2024, in line with the preliminary estimate and matching the revised figure from the previous three-month period. The expansion was driven by both household consumption (+3.8%) and gross fixed investment (+1.2%) while government spending decreased by 0.3%.On the external front, exports increased by 3.1%, while imports surged by 7.1%. Among economic sectors, the strongest growth was seen in wholesale and retail trade, transportation, accommodation, and food services (6.0%), information and communication (9.8%), and industry, water supply, and waste management (3.5%). Conversely, agriculture, forestry, and fishing contracted by 7.6%, and construction fell by 5.5%. On a seasonally adjusted quarterly basis, the Serbian GDP increased by 1.1% in Q4, after a 0.5% rise in the quarter.
